Greetings Kiwanis Friends,
I could not be more proud to serve with you, my fellow
Kiwanians of the Rocky Mountain District! The coming year promises to be full
of all the incredible service projects and fun that we as Kiwanians do so well.
What makes us so special is that we do it all with a heart for children. We are
not alone in our efforts to keep children safe, fed, clothed, and valued. We
just do it better!
Two things stand out to me. First, we
have been blessed to share our lives with each other as members of our Kiwanis
Club, our District, and with Kiwanis International, the world. We understand
why being a member of Kiwanis fills us up in a way that no 'one time' service
project could ever do. This year I am asking each of you to share the heart of
Kiwanis, share your excitement and your passion for Kiwanis with everyone you
know. Let's work together to strengthen our clubs. By doing so, everything
about our organization will be better a year from now!
Secondly, we are so serious about
family that we reach out to elementary school, middle school and high school
students, and even to college students to teach service leadership through
community service! Kiwanis is unique in our desire to bring up young leaders
and we do it with more dedication and heart than any other service club. I am
proud of each of you and equally proud to serve with you this year.
Let's stand together this year and let
our friends and communities know what we do and why we serve. Our energy,
belief and enthusiasm will insure Kiwanis is the #1 service organization in the
Rocky Mountain District.
Many of you have heard me use this
quote, "To the world you may be one person but to one person you may be
the world." That's what we do; improve one child's life at a time.
You are people I believe in, people I'm
proud to serve with and friends I call family.
Yours in service,
